Dodgers Get Manny Ramirez

After watching their brothers just south on the I-5 continue to steal away their fans and attention, the Dodgers made a bold move to sway all the momentum the Angels have gained in the LA market.  The Dodgers jumped in on a Three Way Trade with the Boston Red Sox and Pittsburgh Pirates after the Florida Marlins pulled out. The cost for Ramirez seems too good to be true for Dodger fans. They give up only a young player who they had no need for in Andy LaRoche and a minor leaguer. Not only that, the Dodgers got the Red Sox to pick up the remaining seven million dollars for this year on Manny’s contract.

 

This move finally gives the Dodgers a superstar that they have been sorely lacking. Ramirez for all his quirkiness , is probably a top 10 hitter of all time. He looks like hes on roller skates in the outfield, but the confidence he will bring his Dodger teammates will be enormous. He would provide a huge need in the middle of the lineup.

 

The Dodgers just got really interesting. Now all they have to do is go out there and win the minor league…..oops National League West.
